Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The walls of my home were always like a safe space. Now they smother, a constant indication of my limited freedom. Days run into each other, marked only by the click of the clock and the dull ache in my chest. Every noise from outside is a cruel reminder of the world beyond.
I wander through these confined rooms, searching for some spark of light. The sunlight that once danced across my floor now seem distant, and the stillness is heavy.

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we understand it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a ghost of its former self. We are now stuck within the limits of our homes, forced to adjust to a new reality. The days run together, marked by the cycle of online meetings, consuming media, and baking. We long for the simple pleasures that were once assumed for granted: a stroll in the park, a meal with friends, or even just a conversation without a screen between us.
This new world has forced challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected strengths within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more inventive, and more grateful for the little things in life. As we navigate this new territory, we must remain hopeful that brighter days are coming.
Freedom's Six-Foot Line
Life behind bars is a difficult reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable chain. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the pressure of those bars feels insurmountable. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a stark reality that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be free. That day might seem impossible, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Freedom's Imprisonment
The allure of freedom can be a tempting force. Yet, paradoxically, it can too lead to restriction. This occurs when the very notion of freedom becomes perverted, transforming into a weapon for control and oppression.
True freedom requires not only the absence for external constraints but also the development of internal strength. When this inner core is lacking, even amidst a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves bound within the restrictions of their own minds.
Finally, the true measure of freedom lies in our ability to break free the obstacles that restrict our potential, both externally and internally.
